    Claudette M. Reno, Ph.D. – Licensed Clinical Psychologist  

    Dr. Reno earned a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the University of North Dakota, where her graduate work focused on psychological assessments and psychotherapy with adolescents and adults. She completed her internship with the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Reno’s internship provided her with training in conducting psychological evaluations of individuals of all ages, assessing for a variety of mental health conditions. In addition, she worked with an interdisciplinary team to provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy services in a variety of treatment settings. Dr. Reno completed a fellowship in eating disorders at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she provided didactic lectures, eating disorder evaluations, group therapy, and psychotherapy for individuals and families dealing with issues related to eating disorders.

    Dr. Reno has worked as a clinical psychologist in Bismarck for over 24 years, and her area of clinical specialty is in treating eating disorders. Other areas of interest and professional experience include treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, weight management issues following bariatric surgery, relapse prevention, depression and anxiety associated with chronic pain, life adjustment difficulties, and women’s issues. Dr. Reno provides individual and group therapy to clients ages 13 years and older. Her psychotherapy style is collaborative in nature, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal psychotherapy.

    Karli Ghering, Ph.D. – Licensed Clinical Psychologist     

    Dr. Ghering earned a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Idaho State University, where her studies focused upon the areas of psychological assessment and psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults.  Dr. Ghering completed an internship at Prairie View, Inc., in Newton, Kansas, where she worked as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide evidence-based mental health services to clients within inpatient, outpatient, and residential treatment settings.

    Dr. Ghering has worked as a clinical psychologist in Bismarck since 2007. Her professional interests include psychological assessment, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, childhood behavioral problems, adjustment difficulties, and marital/relationship difficulties. In providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults within the context of individual, family, marital/relationship, and group therapy, Dr. Ghering utilizes a collaborative treatment approach that incorporates research-based therapy techniques from a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). She also has extensive training in parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and Gottman Method couples therapy.

    Chantalle L. Ellis, MA, NCC, LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor

    Chantalle earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Denver Seminary, where her graduate work focused on the clinical assessment and treatment of individuals with mental health concerns as well as the integration of faith and psychology.  Chantalle completed an internship at the Providence House, in Denver, Colorado, where she provided group and individual clinical mental health counseling to adult residents at a two-year transitional house for addiction recovery.  In addition, she completed an internship at Where Grace Abounds, in Denver, Colorado, where she conducted psychoeducational and support groups for individuals and family members addressing a variety of sexual, emotional, and relational issues.

    Chantalle is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the state of North Dakota, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the North Dakota Counseling Association (NDCA). Chantalle’s areas of professional interest and clinical experience include working with anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, grief and loss, career counseling, relationship issues, and faith concerns.  She provides individual and group therapy to clients ages 13 years and older. Chantalle utilizes a person-centered, strengths based approach in counseling, which is a less directive, empathic approach that empowers and motivates the client in the therapeutic process, while also drawing on psychodynamic, family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy strategies.
